This is a fantastic quality Ebola medal for campaign and civilian service in West Africa. It is a service medal issued to the armed forces and civilians working for either Her Majesty's Government or NGO's in support of the British Government's response to the Ebola virus crisis that began in 2014. This is the first medal awarded by the government for a humanitarian crisis response. The obverse side shows the head of Queen Elizabeth 11 and the reverse side shows a burning flame. The ribbon consists of a central yellow stripe, flanked by blue and white stripes, and symmetrical red stripes flanked by green stripes either side which represents the flags of the countries affected by Ebola.
