Description this Pacific star miniature medal was awarded to lots of the services personnel in the second world war for service in the Pacific. It was awarded to personnel who had completed six months service in specified operational commands over seas, between 3 sept 1939- 2 sept 1945.Though in certain cases the minimum period was shortened.
This miniature medal is outstanding quality .Description obverse six pointed star has a circular center with the GRI/V1 monogram, surrounded by a crown and inscribed the Burma star round the foot. Ribbon three equal bands of dark blue British forces , red commonwealth force and dark blue.The dark blue bands each have at their centers stripe of bright orange (the sun).
